Class 2 Stranded Copper/ Low Smoke Zero Halogen Sheath

 

Application

Designed for use in conduits, trunking and other fixed wiring protected installations. It is recommended for use in dry environments, for applications such as wiring lighting fixtures and appliances, and switchboards.

Manufactured to harmonised (HAR) European Standard H07Z-R, the cable has a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) insulation, making it suitable for installations in public buildings where, in the event of fire, smoke and acid gas evolution would pose a hazard to public life and equipment.

Cable Description
  • Class 2 stranded copper wire, Low smoke zero halogen cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)

N.B. In the event of fire, the gases evolved from this cable are free from Halogen and the design is optimised to limit the quantity and cleanliness of the smoke evolved during this period. Although the acronym HFFR is applied to the sheath material, the terms LSOH, HFFR and HFFR are also applicable.

Insulation Colours

Application

Designed for fixed wiring installations in dry or damp premises clipped to
surface, on trays or in free air where there is no risk of mechanical damage. It
is suitable for laying in conduit or trunking where mechanical protection is
required.

This is a zero halogen, low smoke and flame-retardant alternative to standard
PVC cable. It is suited to non-emergency systems in public buildings where
reduction in the volume of smoke and acid gas emissions is essential.

Cable Description
  • Class 1 Solid / Class 2 stranded copper conductor,
  • Class 1 Solid / Class 2 stranded un-insulated circuit protection conductor (CPC),
